What I Learned From Driving and Reporting 40 Hours Across the Country
I'm glad I did it. I'm glad it's over!
Hey there,
This is really just a quick note to update you and let you know that I *will* be releasing reporting from my roadtrip and highlighting important, under covered stories from each state I passed through.
While I’ve taken several reporting road trips before, I’ve never attempted one while moving across the country and working another job at the same time! It’s been a whirlwind – 40 hours of driving from California to Maryland, and crossing through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia! Let’s just say, this was a very exhausting yet exhilarating trip.
Along the way, I took a lot of pictures and TALKED to people. I talked to people from all walks of life. I really got a sense of what’s going on out there – in what the elites call “flyover states” – and which stories desperately need attention.
I also got important news tips from you guys in my inbox. Once things settle down a bit more for me I will absolutely be diving into those.
In the coming days, I’ll feature a state a day from my journey. And it’s not too late! If there’s a story you’d like highlighted from these states or any other, just email me at jenn@couragenews.com.
I have high hopes and dreams for Courage News. More than that, I know how to turn it into a reality as I’ve done in the past.
We just need the funding to do it.
Prefer to outright donate at any amount? That would be incredible!
To donate to Courage News/keep the lights on (literally!), please visit PayPal.me/content, Stripe Donation Link, or subscribe at CourageNews.Substack.com.
Short on funding (I know the feeling!). Sharing my work definitely helps.
I want to grow this into a network with reporters and activists from all across the country. I never wanted Courage News to just be my voice, I want it to be yours, too.
I truly appreciate you and know that we are all in this together.
Solidarity Forever,
Jenn
Glad to hear you're at your new home safe and sound! <3
