I’ve been “living” in Los Angeles for longer than I care to remember. Not by choice, but by economic necessity – I can’t afford my own place to live (who has first and last month’s rent and a deposit handy in a pandemic?) and so am staying with someone kind enough to house me. Every fiber of my being is working toward being able to get back to the East coast, where I so desperately need to be. For reasons too painful to get into.
And yet, I’m fortunate in many ways. As I navigate this foreign place, I stop to talk to people, to film (in unobtrusive ways) and document. So many have it so very much worse. This is why I started Courage News in the first place – to shine a light on this. To showcase what’s happening in a country where the president lies about relief checks and rescinds on offers to cancel student loan debt.
This is our plight.
I am fortunate. But I’m also struggling. Help me afford to keep going - to keep reporting and to grow Courage News. If you can, support my GoFundMe at any amount:

I have a significant needs for funds right now – both for stories I’m reporting out as well as basic living expenses.
New to me? See a reel of my work here. Or, Google my name. I report on injustice, corruption, and for the 99%. And I won’t give up.

Or you can subscribe to this Substack monthly, annually, or as a founding member and I’ll put up perks and behind-the-scenes.
I appreciate you. And I’m proud of the work I’m doing at Courage News so far.
